Elopement Planning

Elopement Day Activities (that don’t involve hiking)

So, you’ve decided to elope? Yet, you’re not exactly sure what your day would look like. BUT, you know that hiking isn’t it for you. That doesn’t mean that you can’t elope! One of the first questions I get from couples who have decided on an elopement is: can we do X activity on our day? Is that normal? Does that still count as an elopement? To which I answer: YES.

But thinking of elopement activity ideas can seem daunting. “What will we do all day?” Answer: anything and everything you want.

While some couples choose to hit the trails and explore the outdoors during their elopement, others may prefer to relax and indulge in a range of fun activities. While hiking is one of the most popular options, it’s not your only option when planning your elopement. If you’re left wondering where to start, or what to do after your ceremony that doesn’t involve hiking around New York, here are 10 fun activities you can enjoy together: (go ahead and leave those hiking boots at home!)

Scenic Drive: Take a leisurely drive through the Adirondack Mountains or the Finger Lakes region and enjoy the stunning scenery. For instance, you could take a scenic drive on the Route 73, which offers incredible views of the High Peaks, or the Route 20, which is known for its charming villages and rolling hills.

Level It Up: Rent the car of your dreams for your scenic drive!
