Marianne + Zach reached out to me last fall to be their elopement photographer. They had originally planned to elope in December, but because life is a wild, unpredictable ride at times, they have had to postpone to December 2022. This isn’t fully a bad thing, as they now have more time to plan their elopement and all the details that they want to include in their special day.
Since they had more time, they opted for an engagement session and I was excited that they did. We worked together to find a few potential locations that spoke to them, and they chose Henderson Harbor, NY. The location they chose had significance to them, as they used to visit the area often together to walk the trails and enjoy the cliff-side views.
The day of their session, we got particularly lucky as it was 70° and while it called for rain, the rain held off. And I say lucky, because according to the weather report, snow is supposed to follow a couple days after. Northern NY springtime is quite the whiplash trip when it comes to temperatures. Snow in the morning, summer weather during mid-day, and then snow again in the evening. Oof.
So as we adventured around Henderson Harbor for their session we had fun talking and getting to know each other better. This truly helps me as your photographer help tell your love story authentically, because it gives me insight into nature of the love that you’ve found together. Their session was full of laughter, them assuring me that they’re awkward in front of the camera (they’re not), and taking in the beautiful views Henderson Harbor had to offer along Lake Ontario.
Please enjoy these special moments from their engagement session. And if you’d like to schedule a session with me, or have me along for your wedding, get in touch.
