Nothing could be cozier than a Christmas themed wedding, right? How about an amazingly styled Christmas wedding where every little detail held significant meaning? Legit, Shawn + Ryan’s wedding was an amazing day that I won’t quickly forget. AND I love that we’ve created an amazing bond as friends and hope to document their love story through the coming years.
I met Ryan + Shawn in 2021 when I had the absolute pleasure of photographing their surprise proposal at Boldt Castle. It was truly an amazing moment, as Ryan had no idea it was coming. So when Shawn got down on one knee, Ryan thought he was joking; that it was a scripted event. This is because Jenn from Pineapple and Peony Events had asked them to model during a styled shoot, and Shawn asked if it would be okay if he proposed at some point in the day.
Of course, our answer was absolutely, please do!
But once, Ryan realized Shawn was asking him to be his husband in earnest and he said yes, the tears started flowing. So when they asked me to document their wedding day, I cried. Again. It is so important to me that couples find vendors they resonate with. I want all my couples to know that I will fully support their wedding day vision, and their love story.
Needless to say there were many, many happy tears shed on their wedding day. Enjoy these moments from Shawn + Ryan’s Christmas themed wedding!
