H + T trekked down from Ontario, Canada to have their engagement session in the small riverside town of Clayton, NY. They chose Clayton because they love everything about the town: the friendliness of its people, the shops, the food, and of course, the views of the St. Lawrence River.

They’ll be getting married later this year in Clayton as well, and I am incredibly excited to document their celebration for them.

The day of their session it rained, nearly all day. And I had hoped that the weather report would be accurate for once in that it would clear just before sunset. Thankfully, it was right and it left us with the most dramatic and beautiful summer sunset for their session. We had the most beautiful light, dramatic clouds and breeze, and nearly the entire town to our selves!

To end their evening, they opted for dinner and drinks at The Hops Spot!
