Adventure sessions are couples’ photography sessions, yes. But adventure sessions don’t always mean the adventure is a hike. The adventure is anything that the couple wants it to be: canoeing, roller skating, wandering around some botanical gardens. And in the case of Andi + Steve, their adventure was a date night at the Jefferson County Fair in Watertown, NY.
Andi + Steve have been together for nearly a decade, and felt it was time to update the portraits they had in their home. When I suggested a date night at the fair, they were more than on board. And the resulting images are STUNNINGGGG. It was so much fun to capture these moments between these two!!
The purpose of an adventure session is to capture you and your love doing something that you enjoy together. Something that you can make an adventure of; something that will make a story, and result in bombass portraits. Don’t get me wrong, all those golden hour photos of couples that you see all over Pinterest and Instagram are gorgeous. But at this point there’s so many of them that they’re starting to feel generic— make your couples’ session about you and what makes you uniquely you.
If you’re not sure what kind of adventure you and your beau would like to go on, no worries. I’ve gotchu. I will help craft up some ideas that could serve as your Adventure Session. Get in touch and we can get started!
Until then, enjoy some of my favorite shots from their Adventure Session.
