Fair Haven Lakeside Elopement

Over the summer, I had the pleasure of capturing the most intimate Fair Haven elopement for Claire + Justin. They wanted to have a small gathering for their elopement at a family home on the water. Being an introverted couple, they didn’t feel the want or need to have a large gathering and instead opted for a guest list of 10.

In case you’re not familiar with Fair Haven, NY, know that it’s a quaint town on the south shore of Lake Ontario. And the town had just become home to Claire’s father and bonus mother, who had purchased a home together. Together the family decided that the new home would be the ideal location for their Fair Haven elopement as it would have enough room for everyone in attendance without stress.

Their first look was one I will never forget. Justin shed a few tears at the sight of his wife to be, which in turn made Claire cry.

While the guest list was small, Claire + Justin still had a love filled wedding day. It did begin to rain during their ceremony, but the rain brought in a pair of swans and their babies. They remained nearby for the entire twenty minute ceremony. Afterward, drinks were had, laughter shared, and a late evening dinner was served by a private chef.
