Frozen Waterfall Elopement

Eloping in the winter can be absolutely breathtaking, so if you’re considering it—this is your sign to DO IT. And if you’re on the fence about where you should elope, let me be the first to say to not bar a waterfall location from your location list. If you’re looking to keep your wedding day close to home but still want to have stunning photos, and a day built around you and your partner for your elopement experience, I’m here to help you make it all happen.

Of course, your elopement day is more than just beautiful photographs. And your photographs should be about telling the story of how your wedding day unfolds. Being in a beautifully scenic location to commit your lives to one another is but a fraction of your wedding day. A waterfall elopement can take place anytime of year, but I think that winter is easily my favorite.

When “elopement” comes to mind, many people assume that you have to travel to some far off destination, or trek out to the ADK. I’m here to remind you that there are many beautiful and scenic places in northern NY close to home. You just have to know where to look. The location we chose features a 35ft high ribbon cascade waterfall that was utterly gorgeous frozen over with ice. It was absolutely perfect for their own waterfall elopement.
