Boldt Castle Intimate Wedding

One of the most well-known landmarks in the north country is Boldt Castle. With it’s stunning architecture and island placement in the St. Lawrence river, it’s no wonder that a Boldt Castle wedding takes your breath away.

Sarah reached out to me just 6 weeks before her intended wedding date. Her (now husband) had proposed and she really wanted to return home for an intimate wedding at Boldt Castle. She had grown up in Upstate NY and wanted more than anything portraits of her, her husband, and her family on the grounds of Boldt Castle.

So when she reached out, it was time for us to get to work. I helped put her in touch with the local county clerk to make an appointment for her marriage license application. We bounced ideas back and forth to help her decide on what colors she wanted to incorporate into her wedding party. She shared with me the vision that she had for her wedding day, and I was incredibly excited to help her bring it to life.

Intimate Weddings at Boldt Castle

There was only one limitation: Boldt Castle only allows weddings/elopements a 90 minute window. But even with this time constraint, we were able to create some stunning portraits while having the most intimate and heartfelt ceremony that featured a ring blessing with the children, jokes about how Chris like the Dallas Cowboys, laughs and tears. Sarah had her son walk her down the aisle, with her daughter and bonus-daughters as her bridesmaids.
