J + E ventured up from New Jersey to have a quiet week to celebrate their elopement. When they reached out, they knew they wanted to get married in nature–either on a mountain, or near a stunning waterfall. In the end, the couple chose a beautiful place that’s actually close to my home: Salmon River Falls.

Bringing their bestest boy, Ocean, and joined by a pair of friends from the city, they enjoyed what northern New York had to offer in the autumn. For their elopement, they spent the day in an adorable solar-powered A-frame beside a pond in the middle of nowhere.

For their ceremony, they trekked to the bottom of Salmon River Falls (in their wedding attire!) to exchange vows and rings, and promise their love everlasting.
