Elopements

Antique Boat Museum Elopement

The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY is an amazing venue to have an elopement. It features a marina filled with antique wooden boats, lots of shoreline and docks along the St. Lawrence River, and beautifully manicured grounds. Typically larger weddings are hosted there, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be the perfect spot for an elopement.

When T reached out to me about her and J’s elopement at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, I was excited to be considered to document their day. They wanted a low key affair, with a focus on portraits of the two of them since they had never really had portraits done together.

Lately, we’ve been experiencing “smoke season” due to the wildfires in Canada. It can be dangerous to be outdoors for extended periods of time, but thankfully that wasn’t the case for their wedding day. While some smoke was visible, it added to the drama of the rainy weather that we had.

T + J along with about 10 of their family and friends traveled up from Alabama (and some from Georgia) to enjoy the nature that northern NY had to offer.

Enjoy some of these moments from their elopement!
