Sherry + Josh reached out wanting a small Northern NY elopement involving the two of them and their two young children. They wanted something intimate and true-to-them as a family, while getting amazing portraits of their kids dressed up. They knew a whole day expedition with the kids was not feasible. Together we craft a day where the first half included their children, and the second half they were alone. Alone to enjoy some quality time for their vow exchange, a first dance, and relaxation by a creek. Together they explored one of the many amazing hidden trails in Jefferson County New York—right in the town of Adams.
Eloping doesn’t mean you can’t involve your children. Most importantly, you can involve your children or other family members as much as you’d like as it’s your wedding day. Choosing a Northern NY elopement is no different than choosing to elope elsewhere in NY. [Check out some of the best places to elope in NY here!] Explore the beauty of the north country, make amazing memories, and spend time with the love of your life. Smaller elopements, like this one, doesn’t mean you have to skip out on details that are important to you. Sherry wanted a bouquet, an elopement sign, and portraits of them together in nature.
Sherry + Josh opted to have a small ceremony at City Hall in the morning. Next, they enjoyed a trail walking adventure with their kids, making it quite the memorable experience. Their youngest son loved everything he saw along the way and I captured quite a few awesome moments.
